The olive mill of Andreas and Lina Ellinas is the only cold press mill on Cyprus. The Oleastro mill is situated in Anogyra, half way between Lemesos and Pafos, 10 kilometers far from the highway, direction north. Three kilometers outside Anogyra you cannot find the mill producing biological olive oil. But the owner wanted to have more than only producing olive oil. Even some of their friends called them crazy because the Oleastro mill is not located on a side with a lot of traffic.
Anyway they had success by developing their property into a place where a piece of authentic Cyprus can be experienced. After their start in 1996 they put their passion into their daily work with 1000 trees. At least they created a small museum parc where you can discover the thousands of years old history of olive oil. And they added a gift shop and a restaurant, where one can enjoy all the healthy products, connected with the „liquid gold“ as Homer the olive oil called.
Oleastro olive mill every year produces about 20000 bottles of olive oil in a way that combines traditional methods with modern knowledge.
